Presentation Title: Crisis Management, The French perspective after the 2015 terrorist attacks π€
Our keynote speaker will share the French perspective of Governmental Crisis Management and more specifically its great shift after the terrorist attacks that struck the country in 2015. He will provide an overview of the lessons learned and adaptations of regular schemes and outline how Non-State Actors are from now on more closely embedded in the resolution of such crisis.
Speaker Biography – Sylvain Joly π¨βπΌ
Sylvain Joly is a former superintendent of the French National Police. He has provided strong and continuous service for 20 years across various Police and Homeland Intelligence assignments, in France and Internationally. Through his different assignments, he has developed a strong background in security management and advisory. Graduating from the French National Police College, he holds a Master of Laws and two Bachelors in Criminal Sciences and Crisis Management.
From 2017 to 2021, Sylvain was assigned as Deputy Commander of the French National Police Special Tactics Command βRAIDβ. In this posting, he successfully managed several high-intensity crises, such as hostage-taking situations, barricade incidents, and terrorist attacks.
